A THOUGHTFUL DECISION

Treatment begins with assessment.

A device name or a package cannot tell you what is right for your skin. Your doctor should consider your goals, medical history, previous procedures, skin tone, and time for follow-up. Choosing to wait or not have treatment is also an option.

A CLOSER LOOK

How to compare two proposed treatments.

Start with the same goal and treatment area. Ask each clinician to explain the expected change, what may remain, the main risks, recovery, number of visits, and total cost. Comparing a brand name or a single session price without that context can be misleading.

A longer or more intensive plan is not automatically a better plan. Ask what is essential, what is optional, and whether treatments can be staged. If several concerns are involved, it can help to prioritize the one that matters most and discuss the others separately.
